Well, Thanksgiving is over and it’s full speed ahead for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays! We were so busy on Cyber Monday, joyfully watching the orders pour in online and getting them ready to ship out all across the country. I do agree with the news reports that Cyber Monday is taking over Black Friday as the busiest shopping day of the year.
There are so many ways to shop these days! But, as a small downtown store, one of Blueberry Haven’s biggest days is Shop Small Saturday, which was held this past Saturday. It was great to see so many people shopping locally and using our downtown to find gifts for friends and family.
Many of our customers were happy to see we had many new products to choose from once again this year. A favorite has been our unique keychain that has our famous sandpiper and beloved mitten on it. Our blueberry-scented candles have also been a big hit. You know you have hit the jackpot when your college-age son has requested a candle for his room at school!
Of course, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without some yummy blueberry treats as well. I know that my glass of champagne on New Year’s Eve will be flavored with our new Blueberry Nectar—it is delicious. I think everyone else is having the same idea because it is selling out quickly. Hurry in to pick up a bottle before it’s all gone!
If you will be having any overnight guests during the holidays, you might want to stock up on some of our newest breakfast additions, including our Simply Fruit Blueberry Jam, Blueberry Scone Mix, and Blueberry Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin Mix. My favorite product that recently made its debut in our store is the Blueberry Herb Chutney. It is truly fantastic on meats and cheeses, or as a sandwich spread. So yummy!
This Saturday during the Jingle Bell Parade would be a perfect time to stop in and sample some of these new goodies. We think you will be pleasantly surprised! We will be having special discounts for that night only, so be sure to stock up on gifts for your family and friends while you are in the store.
