Nothing makes Michiganders smile more than two weekend days in a row with temperatures over 70 degrees! Our smiles grow even wider when those days happen during the month of April. Believe me, it’s a rare occasion.
It’s amazing what a difference a week makes when it comes to weather in Michigan. Last weekend was sunny and warm, and just seven days earlier, people were returning from spring break to find their lawns blanketed with fresh snow. As we say in Michigan…”Only in Michigan.”
Spring has definitely arrived in Grand Haven, and we are already starting to get busier at Blueberry Haven. Last Sunday we prepared some gift bags for a special event for a local real estate company. The presents were personalized for the guests, and they looked spectacular!
As the weather continues to heat up and we prepare for our summer madness, we have hired a few new faces at Blueberry Haven. Please stop in and welcome our new employees if you are a regular to our store. Maybe you can share your favorite recipes that include Blueberry Haven products so our employees can pass them on to other customers. While you’re in the store, don’t forget to check out our spring flower boxes that look fantastic and help us be known as the “store with the best window boxes.” If you need any flower advice, the best day to come in is on Monday when our master gardener is working. Don’t bother asking me for advice—if it’s green, I will kill it! Just ask my husband—no green thumb for me, that’s for sure.
Remember to keep us in mind if you have a special event coming up and you need a one-of-kind gift idea. We have been preparing gift bags for events for several years, and we have become very good at making them unique for any business or group. If you need personalized gifts for your wedding party, we can do that as well. We can even create a special size of a particular product if you give us enough advanced notice. The sky is the limit when it comes to creativity at Blueberry Haven!
The graduation and wedding invites are also beginning to arrive in the mail, and, once again, we can help you put together some beautiful gifts for these occasions. College kids LOVE our candles, and they even help to mask that lovely dorm smell! Another great gift idea is our needlepoint key chain with the shape of Michigan that shows exactly where our little slice of heaven is in our Mitten state. And, nothing could be more perfect for the bride and groom than a Blueberry Haven wooden bowl filled with yummy blueberry products.
